Info Post
black and white dirndl

Meet Josephine Baker, the mind behind Frances Baker, a small Australian label that creates the most wonderful dirndl-shaped dresses and crop top playsets. While many ladies can sew, few can do so with the amount of intricate detail that Josephine shows to each handmade piece.. vintage braid lining the skirt of a dark coffee corduroy dress, subtle pleats and pintucks on a skirt, fabric covered buttons and hand-stitched enclosures. All dresses are lined for a professional finish and are great for both winter and summer wear (wouldn't that corduroy dress be incredible for fall?).

Not to mention, Josie's personal style and blog are darling - rucksack picnics with friends, hand sewn dresses with matching hair bows, and glimpses of current sewing projects.
