Vintage patchwork rayon dress, Dooney and Bourke purse - Goodbuy Girls
Wood wedge sandals - Madewell

The first stop Neil and I made in Savannah, once we checked into our bed and breakfast and lifted our bags up two flights of old stairs, was Forsyth Park. We stayed at the Savannah Inn, an 1850s townhome just a block's walk from Mercer House and not much further than that from Forsyth. So while the sun was still out, we walked around Forsyth's grand trees and its famous fountain, seeing Spanish Moss for the first time. Is it just me, or does everyone in Savannah own a dog?

The rayon dress is a 90s Esprit mini that might be the most comfortable thing I own now. I bought it at Goodbuy Girls Vintage in East Nashville last month, knowing I'd be wearing it for this trip. A lightweight swing dress turned out to be the best thing to wear the day we came into Savannah (it might be fall, but the south still has sleeveless dress weather).

That night, we had dinner at the Distillery (pretty good sandwiches and a great beer list) and finished with banana pudding at Parker's Market. And then we took a ghost tour. Savannah is a little scary.

The next day, we were able to meet up with some friends and check out Back in the Day Bakery for the first time.. and do some fabric shopping. More photos coming! Can you believe we only have one week left in October?
