Info Post
a romantic dinner out
Topshop dress, tights, jumper, and patent shoes, ASOS gold watch, chiffon studs, and jacquard clutch

I already have plans for what I'm wearing on Valentine's Day, but that doesn't stop me from daydreaming up other outfits for the occasion. Here are four outfit ideas to suit four different plans for the day - whether you'll be celebrating Valentine's with your significant other, friends, family, or with a stack of horror films and a box of chocolate, movie marathon style.

We'll be eating out for the holiday, so the outfit above is the most practical combination for me.. girlish dress with a layered cable knit crop top. The polka dot dress from Topshop is a dream of mine. It's got that 1950s collegiate trend going - and let's face it, all dresses are better in polka dots. The cream tights.. well, I'll be wearing those for sure. If only I had a pair of matching patent t-straps to go with them.

valentine picnic
ASOS lace up oxfords, ticking stripe tote, and sunglasses, Topshop pleated pinafore and blouse, Madewell ruffle socks

I wish the weather was nice enough for a picnic! If it were, I'd be in a pleated pinafore with a chiffon blouse and ruffle socks. And some awesome nude sunglasses and an oversized tote to stuff a picnic in.

heading to a concert
ASOS wool hat, Topshop rose necklace, pintuck blouse, and wide legged trousers, Apart faux fur coat, Sigerson Morrison boots, Madewell sunglasses

Neil and I are planning to see the Kills perform at Mercy Lounge in April, and I'd love to recreate this outfit somehow.. wide legged tobacco-colored pants with a rose pintuck crop top and ankle boots. Hopefully by then, the faux fur coat won't be necessary.
movie night in
Bernhard Willhelm nail polish, Topshop shorts and bra, Monki sweatshirt, ASOS watch and heart earrings, Madewell brogues

Staying indoors and having a movie night is not a bad idea for Valentine's Day. If we were staying in, I'd put comfort first with an oversized sweater and cut off shorts and still feel feminine with a lace bra underneath.

What are your plans for the day? We're celebrating early - with Casablanca at the Belcourt Theatre tomorrow and Margot in East Nashville for dinner. Happy weekend!
