Today has been a day of preparation - organizing my sewing room and spring/summer collection materials, swapping out winter vintage for the summery stuff that was, until this week, stashed away in storage, and for the most immediate purpose - prepping for a vintage spring lookbook we're shooting at the Sam Davis home tomorrow. I'm excited to finally update the shop with a good amount of new stock! It's been a year since we've done a vintage lookbook and they're always fun to do, so it should be a good afternoon tomorrow. The weather will be sunny and daffodils and dogwoods are already blooming in Tennessee.

Actually, it feels like the past month has been entirely filled with days of preparation, so it's a relief to see some preparations come to fruition with the shoot tomorrow. I'm eager to stop planning and get moving, finally.. to stop thinking about everything and to start doing it.

I guess you could say that my outfit today represents that weird sort of in-between-ness I've been going through (as I'm sure a lot of people have, especially with this pseudo-winter season we just went through in the south) - a cable knit sweater with a summery straw tote from Red Earth Trading Company, bare legs, and sandals. My hair is a covetous attempt at recreating the amazing braid up-do from the Madewell Denim Campaign (man alive how do they do it and make it look so casual and elegant). I of course did not get it right. If you know how to do hair and feel like teaching me, I will take any tips I can get please.

And it's the weekend again - seriously, life goes by so fast. Happy weekend, all!
